We’re grateful to share that this year’s Easter for Eli Cornhole Tournament and Raffle raised $12,705 in support of children and families spending Easter in the hospital.
Each year, this event reminds us how strong and generous this community is. From the teams who competed to the businesses who donated and the volunteers who gave their time, this day simply doesn’t happen without that support.
This year’s event brought together more than 60 teams and over 100 raffle donations, with the cornhole tournament itself contributing $1,682 toward the total. It was a full day built by the community, not just in participation but in spirit, with people showing up for something bigger than themselves.
The tournament featured both competitive and social brackets, with top finishers in the competitive division earning $800 for first place, $400 for second, and $200 for third. The social bracket awarded $290, $190, and $95, and an additional airmail payout split proceeds between participants and the organization.
We also want to recognize the partners who helped make the event possible, including the Pennsylvania National Guard, SPC Chad A. Edmundson Memorial Foundation, Cove Cornhole, Beards & Beats Entertainment, Big D’s Catering, Awarding Images, and the Coach Geno Foundation. Their support, along with the work of our volunteers, made the entire day possible.
From setup the night before to the final moments of the event, volunteers carried the weight of the day and allowed everything to run smoothly.
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, every dollar raised goes toward collecting, packing, and delivering Easter bags to children in hospitals across the country. What started as a small act of care has grown into a coordinated effort across multiple states, but at its core, the mission remains simple: to change the feeling of a hospital room, even if just for a moment.
